Cédric Vuignier

Cédric Vuignier
Cédric Vuignier is Head of Liquid Alternatives at Syz Capital and a member of the Executive Committee. He joined Syz Group in 2016 and brings more than 20 years of experience in hedge fund selection, portfolio construction, and alternative investments across global strategies.
Prior to Syz, Cédric was Head of Alternative Discretionary at HSBC, where he managed portfolios of up to USD 3.2 billion for institutional and private clients. He also served as Head of Alternative Investments at Appletree Asset Management, where he was responsible for building and managing alternative investment portfolios across hedge funds and private strategies.
Since 2022, Cédric has led the analysis and selection of crypto hedge funds, playing a central role in the development of Syz Capital’s digital asset hedge fund platform. He is Portfolio Manager of SyzCrest since its inception in 2022 and of BTC Alpha since its launch in 2025, and serves as a member of both Investment Committees, overseeing manager selection, portfolio construction, and risk management.
He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Geneva.

Tiago Fellay
Tiago Fellay is a Junior Portfolio Manager within the Liquid Alternatives team at Syz Capital, where he supports portfolio construction, manager selection and risk management across hedge fund and digital asset strategies. He is also involved in investment due diligence and portfolio monitoring.
Prior to his current role, Tiago progressed through several positions within Syz Capital, from Intern to Investment Analyst and Junior Portfolio Manager. Earlier in his career, he gained experience at Pictet Alternative Advisors, where he worked within the alternative investments platform.
Tiago holds a Master of Science in Finance from HEC Lausanne and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Geneva. He has also successfully completed CFA Program Level I.
Reto Gehring

Reto Gehring
Reto Gehring is Head of Advisory within the Hedge Funds platform at Syz Capital, where he is responsible for hedge fund selection, portfolio construction and advisory solutions for private and institutional clients.
Reto brings more than 25 years of experience in fund research, manager selection and alternative investments. Before joining Syz Group in 2011, he spent over a decade at UBP, where he served as Fund Analyst, Portfolio Manager and later Head of Multi-Management & Fund Research. Earlier in his career, he was a Fund Analyst at Banque Cantonale Vaudoise, helping develop the bank’s open-architecture fund platform and advising both private and institutional clients.
Reto studied at HEC Lausanne, University of Lausanne, and subsequently earned the AZEK Diploma of Financial Analyst and Portfolio Manager.
Nicolas Segal

Nicolas Segal
Nicolas Segal is a Senior Advisor within the Liquid Alternatives platform at Syz Capital, where he advises on hedge fund and alternative investment strategies for private and institutional clients.
He brings nearly two decades of experience in portfolio management and alternative investments. Prior to joining Syz Capital, Nicolas was a Hedge Fund Portfolio Manager at Lombard Odier and spent more than ten years at HSBC Private Banking, where he held various portfolio management and advisory roles focused on hedge funds and wealth management.
Nicolas holds a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College London and is a CAIA Charterholder. He also holds the Certified Wealth Management Advisor (CWMA) designation.
